Our oceans are confronted with various threats, including climate change, pollution, habitat loss, and biodiversity decline. The UN has identified unsustainable fishing as the primary cause of marine biodiversity loss globally. Yet, more than 2 billion people rely on seafood as their main source of animal protein. Aquaculture already supplies over half of the world's seafood, often considered the most sustainable approach to meeting the growing food demands of our expanding population. Today, end-consumers are increasingly considering environmental sustainability when making purchasing decisions. By opting for sustainably farmed seafood, you're not just meeting your customers' needs, but also contributing to a better future for all.
In addition to adhering to Vietnamese regulations regarding master plan farming zones, environmental protection, and food safety, Vinh Hoan's farming practices also comply with international standards mandated by clients to ensure sustainable development across four key criteria: food safety, environmental responsibility, social responsibility, and traceability. These international standards encompass certifications such as the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP)
